Mobile app policy
Privacy, permissions, and payments for future apps.
Effective 21 October 2026
Scope and availability
Papercut currently operates this shopping website. This page sets out the approach for any future Papercut iOS or Android app; it is not an announcement that an app is already available or approved. The applicable privacy notice and purchase terms will be accessible in the released app and its store listing. Apple and Google do not sponsor Papercut.
Privacy and permissions
Any released app must disclose its actual data collection and third-party SDK practices. Camera or photo access, if provided for artwork uploads, is optional and requested only when you choose that feature; use of the system photo picker is preferred. Permission refusal must not prevent unrelated shopping features. Any future notification or tracking features require their own applicable controls and disclosures. The current website does not request background location, contacts, microphone access, or advertising tracking.
Accounts and deletion
The released app must provide an easy-to-find account deletion entry in account settings, linked directly to the deletion process rather than a generic support conversation. The web deletion resource remains available for people who no longer have the app. Apple or Google sign-in is not currently enabled here; if added, the sign-in, token revocation, and account removal behavior must be implemented before release.
Payments and subscriptions
Physical merchandise uses a suitable external payment processor such as Maya, with the price, delivery fee, and payment provider shown before purchase. A future app that sells digital content, subscriptions, or features consumed within that app must use the billing method required for its product, distribution channel, and region. This policy does not authorize bypassing Apple or Google billing rules for digital purchases.
Custom software, marketing, and IT engagements require their own agreed scope. Their treatment in a native app must be assessed for the actual deliverable before payments are enabled. Store-billed subscriptions, if ever introduced, must explain renewal and cancellation before purchase and provide the applicable store management and refund links. This website currently has no subscriptions.
Before an app is released
The publisher must keep its App Store privacy disclosures and Google Play Data safety answers accurate for the shipped app, provide working support and publicly accessible policy/deletion URLs, and complete the required permission and billing implementation. Policy text is only one part of this process; final review depends on the actual app and current store requirements.
